    HappyWakeUp ArousalClock actively monitors your sleep using the microphone of the mobile phone. Actually it listens to your movements in bed. Therefore it has to be near to you! It makes statistical analysis of the quality and cycles of your sleep. It is developed to detect statistically significant movements as arousals. During these moments you are actually awake or almost awake. The analysis and monitoring principles are based on medical data and research of human sleep structure, sleep cycles and sleep disorders.

    Yes - if you both have HappyWakeUp in your mobile phones. You should put the phone under or beside your pillow. It reacts only to your personal arousal and your movements during the arousals in the morning. The alarm signal under the pillow is weak and does not disturb your spouse.

    Put your HappyWakeUp ArousalClock under your pillow! The keyboard is protected by the key-lock during the night. The snoring sound does not affect the microphone of the phone. The HappyWakeUp clock detects your movements only and gives the weak alarm when you are awake or almost awake. This is is audible just for you.

    You have been in really deep calm sleep without any arousal moments during the last 20 minutes. Actually your body needed and you also got the maximum time of sleep. Perhaps you should go to sleep a little earlier in the evening to have more happy wake up!

    Yes, the medically recommended duration for a day-time nap is 20-30 minutes to avoid too deep sleep. This is achieved by setting the alarm delay in HappyWakeUp clock to 26-30 minutes. Now you should have a 20-25 minutes nap. Note that 26 minutes is the shortest duration of HappyWakeUp clock function!

  • 12. Shoud I also stop mobile phone alarm after HappyWakeUp in the morning?

    Yes - the mobile phone alarm should be set off after your wake-up. Otherwise you get an extra alarm from your mobile phone after HappyWakeUp alarm!

    HappyWakeUp is designed to use the battery of your mobile phone a little as possible, there is no background light during night time and only the microphone is used for the monitoring. However, you have to remember to charge the battery to keep your mobile phone and applications alive as normally!

    Usually yes but the alarm sound will play from the headset, too. Thus the alarm sound is lower. We are investigating better solutions.

    You should first set the alarm time of the mobile phone clock (eg. 7:00) and start HappyWakeUp thereafter.

    No new licence is needed, the old licence will work!

    Yes it can if the same SIM card is used in the new phone, too. Select Options -> Update from the Licence Manager and the licence if transferred to the new phone. If needed, reinstall HappyWakeUp before this.

  • 19. Why my phone does not show the option for purchasing a trial license for 7 days with 2 euros?

    A 7-day license is purchased using so called Premium SMS payment. Some operators do not support this option and thus the payment option is not shown. An alternative trial version can be soon downloaded from web shops. Information about the shops will be available on these pages.

  • 20. Why my phone does not show any options for purchasing a licence and the program exits?

    The problem is caused by a bug in the phone operating system. Tilting the screen to another position should fix the problem.

    When starting HappyWakeUp first time it observes that the SIM card has changed and proposes licence transfer to the new SIM card.

  • 22. I updated the phone software / I had to clear the memory of my phone. There was a licence in the phone. How can I make it work again?

    In these cases the licence can be reactivated by entering a licence code after HappyWakeUp has been reinstalled. If you do not know the licence code please contact OpenBit with this form.

    This functionality should become available with new iPhone software versions. Development of an updated HappyWakeUp version will be start after that.
